Exceptional champagne has a name: Alfred Gratien. The house Alfred Gratien produces champagne since 1864.
The handmade champagnes from the house of Alfred Gratien shine through uniqueness, complexity and exclusivity. Not far from the city centre of Épernay, in the Rue Maurice Cerveaux, exquisite champagnes have been produced since 1864 with the greatest care and the best know-how in the footsteps of the founder Alfred Gratien. Rigorous selection of grapes, traditional vinification, voluntary output limitation and respect for the terroir: these principles and the fact that it is one of the last "handmade" champagnes ever, help Alfred Gratien to achieve its great quality and make it unique.
This commitment of the management to remain true to the principles of the founder Alfred Gratien is evident at every stage of the production of his racy wines.
Champagne from the house of Alfred Gratien has a long tradition and has remained true to itself - despite all mass and fashion trends - until today. Our cellar master Nicolas Jaeger stands for this in particular. Just like his father and his ancestors, he is the fourth generation to preserve the uniqueness of our champagnes.
Every year, Nicolas Jaeger ensures the best cuvée from the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier varieties. He meticulously and strictly observes the fermentation in the typical wooden barrels.
In this way, he personally guarantees consistently high quality and an incomparable aroma.
