Champillon (zip code 51160) is a small commune, with 502 inhabitants (as of 2016), in France, in the Champagne region Montagne de Reims. The commune is located about 5 km north of Épernay, southwest of the Montagne de Reims, completely embedded in the hills in a U-shape. The slopes, some of which are steep, are located at an altitude of 120 meters, rising to 250 meters. The commune has vineyards of 72.5 hectares (as of 2019). Varietal wines from Champillon are multi-faceted, concentrated, full-bodied, with plenty of extract. From the highest points, as well as from the terraces of the Hotel Le Royal Champagne, of Champillon, a wonderful view can be found with very impressive views towards the south, over the Marne valley and towards Épernay.
