ten oosten van Parijs, is de thuisbasis van de edele wijnstokken en de groeiende regio.<\/p>\n<p>Een belangrijk criterium voor de afbakening van het wijnbouwgebied was de bodemsamenstelling. Het belemnietkrijt uit de secundaire periode en de micro-elementen zijn uniek. De krijtbodem is bedekt met een humus\/klei mengsel van ongeveer 20-50 cm dik, dat door de wijnstokwortels tot diep in het krijt wordt opgenomen. Er wordt een kostbaar evenwicht gecre\u00eberd omdat het krijt, naast de voedingswaarde van de humus, niet alleen de ideale vochtigheid vasthoudt, maar ook de warmte van de dag opslaat en 's nachts langzaam aan de wijnstokken afgeeft: een natuurlijk airconditioningsysteem!<\/p>\n<p>De hoge bossen beschermen tegen de harde wind. Het weer in de Champagne is gevarieerd en soms erg streng, afhankelijk van het seizoen. Door de eeuwen heen heeft de <a href=\"https:\/\/champagner.com\/nl\/\">Champagne<\/a> Toch kan Champagne zich daar goed ontwikkelen omdat het er over het algemeen niet te koud en niet te warm is. De hoeveelheid druiven per hectare die mag worden gebruikt voor de productie van Champagne wordt elk jaar kort voor de druivenoogst wettelijk vastgesteld: in 1996 bijvoorbeeld mocht maximaal 10.400 kg druiven per hectare de AOC-benaming dragen. <strong>Champagne<\/strong> en <strong>Cote\u00e4ux Champenois<\/strong> (stille wijn uit de Champagnestreek).<\/p>\n<p>De totale oppervlakte waartoe daar was besloten, is nu volledig beplant met wijnstokken, zodat het teeltgebied nu is uitgebreid tot nog eens 150 kilometer.<\/p>\n<p>Het voordeel dat genoemd moet worden is dat Champagne niet meer homogeen is door de verschillende grondsoorten en microklimaten en daardoor sterk kan verschillen in smaak en uiterlijk van regio tot regio.<br \/>\nDe belangrijkste regio's zijn daarom Vall\u00e9e de la Marne, Montagne de <a href=\"https:\/\/champagner.com\/nl\/woordenlijst-2\/oorsprong-champagne\/\">Reims<\/a>C\u00f4te des Bar en C\u00f4te des Blancs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-kkb5v2a0-013e4de4f43f3cd357948605447fe69f\">\n#top .av-special-heading.av-kkb5v2a0-013e4de4f43f3cd357948605447fe69f{\npadding-bottom:10px;\n}\nbody .av-special-heading.av-kkb5v2a0-013e4de4f43f3cd357948605447fe69f .av-special-heading-tag .heading-char{\nfont-size:25px;\n}\n.av-special-heading.av-kkb5v2a0-013e4de4f43f3cd357948605447fe69f .av-subheading{\nfont-size:15px;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div  class='av-special-heading av-kkb5v2a0-013e4de4f43f3cd357948605447fe69f av-special-heading-h2 blockquote modern-quote  avia-builder-el-6  el_after_av_textblock  el_before_av_textblock'><h2 class='av-special-heading-tag'  itemprop=\"headline\"  >Het afgebakende teeltgebied vanaf 1927<\/h2><div class=\"special-heading-border\"><div class=\"special-heading-inner-border\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-58wfzj-ae72ca80b6c5b7bc25f2c49c34a4bda0'   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Het gebied waar de Champagnestokken groeien is uniek in de wereld, want op 22 juli 1927 werd besloten dat de druiven voor Champagne alleen zouden worden verbouwd op een oppervlakte van 33.500 hectare. Dit betekent dat toen deze vereiste (Appellation d\u2032Origine Contr\u00f4l\u00e9e) werd besloten, men ver vooruit keek en de kwaliteit van de drank tot op de dag van vandaag aanzienlijk heeft be\u00efnvloed. Ongeveer 30.700 hectare kan wijn opleveren (3% van het Franse wijnbouwgebied).
