Beaumont des Crayères Champagne
In 1955, a group of winegrowers from the slopes of Epernay founded the Champagne Beaumont des Crayères in Mardeuil.
Around 230 winegrowers supply the winegrowers' cooperative Beaumont des Crayères Champagne with their best grapes. The fact that this is a unique champagne was confirmed at various international tastings, such as the Wine Challenge in London (silver medal 2003), Concours General Paris (silver medal 2003) and by Wine Spectator with 87 points. Director and oenologist Jean-Paul Bertus was awarded Best Champagne Winemaker of the Year in 2003. In the Gault Millau 2005 the house Beaumont de Crayères was awarded 3 stars. Excellent evidence of excellent qualities. Awards: Best Champagne Winemaker of the Year 2003 (Jean-Paul Bertus), Wine Challenge in London (silver medal 2003), Concours General Paris (silver medal 2003), The Wine Spectator (87 out of 100 points).
For 3 generations, the associated winegrowers have been working with passion and care on a large number of plots, sometimes the size of a garden.
Beaumont des Crayères is the name of one of the most beautiful plots of the Mardeuil vineyard, symbol of a terroir.
Above all the quality of the grapes makes Beaumont des Crayères a great champagne. The know-how of the 230 affiliated winegrowers is the key. Pressing is one of the secrets of the quality of Beaumont des Crayères champagnes. According to the quality policy, this is a new selection phase. The Champagne Beaumont des Crayères cellar master, who guarantees the high quality level of the house, pays strict attention to the vinification and blending of his cuvées.
In the coolness and darkness of the cellar, the magic of Beaumont des Crayères Champagne is at work. The froth in the bottle brings a fine effervescence to what then becomes the king of wines. The disgorging gives the cellar master the opportunity to put the finishing touches to his work. Through the dosage, the Beaumont des Crayères Champagne completes its remarkable personality.
